OBEDIENCE CLASS LEVEL 2

Dog Training Classes are held  at 5692 Morton Hill Rd. Hornell NY which is in Steuben County NY.

 Only Positive Methods are used. 

Class size is limited to 4 dogs.

Class runs for 5 weeks. Each weekly class will typically last about an hour. If the class needs extra help classes may run over.

There is always play time and socializing after each class.

 Class will be in the dog park if it is not raining or in the training center if the weather is bad.

I have a variety of healthy treats for sale that you can use for training.

If you do not have access to the internet to get your handouts they can be provided for a fee of $10.00.

Obedience classes are not designed to correct separation anxiety, aggression and some other behavior problems. Feel free tocontact me if you aren't sure which service would best suit your needs.


There is a $25.00 non-refundable fee to reserve your dogs spot in obedience class. You can stop by the store or you can mail a check to Happy Tails Dog Behavior & Training, 5692 Morton Hill Rd. Hornell NY 14843.  There is  $40.00 return check fee (if your check bounces).

Whats covered in Obedience Class Level 2


In obedience class level 2 we will build on basic commands.

You and your dog will learn:

a better recall,

A more controlled Heel

Getting better at loose leash.

A longer Sit/Stay and Down/Stay

out of sight recall

Out of sight stay.

working with distractions and keeping the dogs focus on you even when you are out of sight.

Your dog will learn to be more focused on you

You and your dog will also learn some tricks for entertaining family and friends.

We will be increaing the human/dog bond and human/dog communication.

There will be socilization time after each class for the dogs and people.
